| I was camping at Smokemont campground with an old friend, and we took a little post-breakfast hike on one of the trails that start in the campground. On the way back to camp, I saw this standing wave with the light falling on the water in such a way that the lines in the water looked like strands of long, silky hair, glistening in the sun. While setting up to shoot this, I dropped a lens in the water. You can't get a shutter out of the water fast enough. We took the glass out and dried the shutter over the coals of the fire on a piece of aluminum foil, but the blades rusted anyway. Luckily, it was an old Graflex shutter and I had another one at home that only needed a small repair. It was worth it, I guess. |
| As most people seem to prefer them, prices are for framed prints, ready to hang. I use a very nice matt black wood frame 7/8 of an inch wide, with a white mat. If you would like to order unframed prints, go to the "Purchase" page for pricing. |
