| One winter day, we went out looking for snow and or ice to photograph along the Parkway past Mt. Pisgah. The hoped-for snow didn't materialize, but we did find some ice climbers on NC 215 where the dripping cliffs of summer receive no sun in the winter, and become encrusted with spectacular ice. Toward the end of the day, we rode up US 276 and saw this little waterfall with ice framing the flowing water. I was carrying an old YashicaMat that I'd just had repaired, and used it to shoot this. The Yashica lenses have a very distinct look and feel, especially in black and white, I think. I love the interplay of shapes between the solid ice and the flowing water. |
| As most people seem to prefer them, prices are for framed prints, ready to hang. I use a very nice matt black wood frame 7/8 of an inch wide, with a white mat. If you would like to order unframed prints, go to the "Purchase" page for pricing. |
