| This picture is shot from the same spot as the wider shot of Tenaya Gorge with the line of trees. During my week at Yosemite, I was constantly on the lookout for a chance to make a picture I hadn't seen before. The valley especially is a test for photographers. It's been done so much, and so well, that the photographer who finds anything new is either extraordinarily lucky or talented. I'm sure this angle has been done before as well, but at least I hadn't seen it before. The spot, behind and above Curry Village, requires a difficult scramble up a steep slope of loose rock and dirt. If I am able to be in Yosemite again when there are clouds, I may try again. |
| As most people seem to prefer them, prices are for framed prints, ready to hang. I use a very nice matt black wood frame 7/8 of an inch wide, with a white mat. If you would like to order unframed prints, go to the "Purchase" page for pricing. |
