| I went north on the Parkway early one morning, hoping for a nice sunrise, maybe with some clouds lying in the valleys. As is often the case, I drove without seeing anything that moved me to set up the camera. I turned around at Mt. Mitchell, tired of driving through the fog, and started down toward home and breakfast. After a few miles, the fog began to thin, and I stopped at Glassmine Falls overlook to see what I could see. One look at the ridge across the valley and the sun just above it being revealed, then obscured by the ever-shifting shapes of the fog made me scramble to get the camera set up. The peep show went on for about 20 minutes, during which I shot almost two rolls of film. Its timeless, otherworldly feel makes this one of my favorite images. |
| As most people seem to prefer them, prices are for framed prints, ready to hang. I use a very nice matt black wood frame 7/8 of an inch wide, with a white mat. If you would like to order unframed prints, go to the "Purchase" page for pricing. |
