| On Easter weekend a few years ago, we had an unusually hard spring freeze that damaged not only flowers and shrubs, but much of the fruit crops in Asheville and around the south. This tulip grows just across the street from my driveway, and I saw it every morning, and finally carried the camera all the way over there and tried this shot with a red filter to lighten the flower and darken the foliage. Though I had a nice Polaroid of the image, I had never tried to make a good print until recently. When I took the print and showed it to a painter friend, he reacted with such enthusiasm, that I thought I'd pass it around. I find the graphics of the leaves more appealing as I look at it. It's alway nice to find something new to look at in an older photo. |
| As most people seem to prefer them, prices are for framed prints, ready to hang. I use a very nice matt black wood frame 7/8 of an inch wide, with a white mat. If you would like to order unframed prints, go to the "Purchase" page for pricing. |
