| Having admired the work of Ansel Adams for many years, I finally was able to go photograph in Yosemite. It was August, not the best time to go, but that was when the opportunity arose, so away I went. I found myself fascinated by the play of light on the face of El Capitan as the sun rose, and returned four mornings in succession. This shot was taken from across El Capitan meadow, just as the sun touched the evergreens lining the valley road. I didn't really get the shot I wanted (not that I know what that would be), but I like this one pretty well. As Adams said, "The perfect is the enemy of the good". This one's good, but the yet unseen "perfect" is still out there somewhere, at least for me. I'll be back. |
| As most people seem to prefer them, prices are for framed prints, ready to hang. I use a very nice matt black wood frame 7/8 of an inch wide, with a white mat. If you would like to order unframed prints, go to the "Purchase" page for pricing. |
