| There are three churches on the loop road in Cades Cove, on the Tennessee side of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The weekend that I went over with my shooting buddy Bill, I tried to shoot all three, but this is the only one that satisfied me at all. I love the juxtaposition of the winter trees with their wild shapes and the controlled shape of the church, as well as the way the gravestones stand in counterpoint to the tree trunks. As always at Cades Cove, one of the big challenges was to find a moment when there weren't any people milling about. Thankfully, it only takes about 30 seconds to expose two sheets of film. |
| As most people seem to prefer them, prices are for framed prints, ready to hang. I use a very nice matt black wood frame 7/8 of an inch wide, with a white mat. If you would like to order unframed prints, go to the "Purchase" page for pricing. |
